About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing Consultant to support technology procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, renewals, and day-to-day purchasing operations.
This role will partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, and business stakeholders to drive cost savings, optimize supplier relationships, improve procurement processes, and support technology-related spend across software, SaaS, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, and professional services.

Compensation: In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the anticipated hourly rate for this role is $45.00–$55.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing Consultant to support technology procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, renewals, and day-to-day purchasing operations.
This role will partner closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, and business stakeholders to drive cost savings, optimize supplier relationships, improve procurement processes, and support technology-related spend across software, SaaS, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, and professional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support strategic sourcing activities including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and competitive bidding
- Negotiate supplier pricing, contract terms, statements of work, amendments, and renewals
- Support IT-related procurement across software, SaaS, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, and professional services
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, spend optimization, and improved commercial terms
- Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, revisions, amendments, renewals, and closeout activities
- Conduct spend analysis, supplier benchmarking, savings tracking, and procurement reporting
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, and business stakeholders to resolve purchasing and contract-related issues
- 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, and strategic sourcing experience
- Strong experience sourcing technology products and services
- Demonstrated contract negotiation and supplier management expertise
- Experience managing contracts, renewals, amendments, and supplier agreements
- Experience with purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and purchasing operations
- Strong analytical skills with experience performing spend analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of software licensing models and SaaS agreements
- Experience with cloud services and IT supplier ecosystems
- Experience supporting procurement transformation or centralization initiatives
- Familiarity with supplier relationship management and procurement best practices
