Responsibilities:
- Create specifications and part numbers for the release of new component part numbers for Development.
- Support Development Engineering for sourcing activities to identify industrial or military grade components for our military or industrial applications.
- Responsible for all Supplier Product Change Notice (PCN) notifications to include identifying new/replacement source of supply, qualification plans and AML approvals.
- Track and Manage approved RoHS components to new internal part numbers.
Management of Bills of material (BOM) from lead to lead-free components. - Perform research and material analysis on the current global compliance directives including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, WEEE
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related working experience preferred
- Background in circuit card electrical component selection and engineering skills
- Understanding of Engineering release process, Part/Component reliability and design concerns in Circuit Card applications
- Broad based Mechanical / Electrical Hardware engineering background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge in MS office skills (Excel, Word, etc...)
- Experience with parts/components obsolescence reporting and tracking
