Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and implement laboratory informatics solutions to access and visualize human data including public and proprietary data
- Work on projects that enhance data accessibility, integrity, and usability while maintaining FAIR principles.
- Ensure that data management practices are efficient and aligned with the latest digital technologies.
- Partner with the Digital & AI team to identify and deploy new digital solutions.
- Ensure that these solutions are effectively integrated into the research workflows for biology and pharmacology studies.
- Train scientists on the available digital solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure they are effectively utilized.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field from an accredited university or equivalent education with 2+ years of experience, or Master's Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field from an accredited university or equivalent education with 1+ years of experience
- Proven experience in laboratory informatics, preferably in a pharmaceutical research setting
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
- Experience with database management systems and data analysis tools as well as laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Technical knowledge to configure / administer / maintain (vendor or home-built) digital solutions
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and data privacy standards in research.
