Job Description

Contract Length: 1 year; hybrid schedule

Responsibilities:

Design and implement analog and digital voice communication systems, including PBX, Voice gateways, IAD routers, FXS/FXO, VoIP, SIP, LTE and related technologies.
Conduct performance analysis of voice communication systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain circuit management solutions, including traffic analysis, network optimization, and troubleshooting with commercial vendors.
Configure and maintain multiplexers for data transmission over communication lines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deploy reliable voice communication solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications/Network Engineering, or associated disciplines from an accredited engineering school, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in telecommunications and network engineering with a focus on voice communications and circuit management.
Understanding of the OSI seven-layer model with advanced knowledge of layer 1 and layer 2 transport systems and intermediate knowledge of layer 3 routing and routing protocols
Experience with firewalls, such as policies related to Telecom and data networks, including identification of required TCP/UDP ports and ACL's
Experience with analog voice communication infrastructure, including PBX, T1 PRI, channel banks, TDM circuits, and related technologies.
