Off-Robot Systems Assembly Technician

Job Description

Contract Length:  1 year Temp-to-Perm

Job Summary:  This person will help set up and operate equipment as well as make necessary adjustments to meet safety and quality standards as we continue to scale our Stretch robot fleet into a worldwide commercially available product.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Manufacture off-robot assemblies
  • Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up, calibration and troubleshooting tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies
  • Collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment
  • Maintain production machines and equipment to ensure the production area is safe to work, productive and has required inventory
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Identify and debug problems in processes, products, equipment and work for solutions

Requirements:
 
  • Previous experience following technician instructions by interpreting engineering blueprints and technical terms
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
  • Experience assembling, repairing, reworking, and/or testing electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies and recommending courses of action
  • The ability to stoop, bend and work supine or prone
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
