Job Description

Contract Length:  6 months

Job Summary:  This person will manage purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and contribute to both budget management and internal job costing.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Process purchase orders for R&D components and supplies
  • Notify engineering when their parts are complete and ready for pickup
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, production, and quality assurance, to understand their requirements and ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in managing the machine shop's purchasing budget
  • Create and maintain detailed purchase order records

Requirements:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Arena, Jira, Rootstock, SalesForce) is a plus.
