Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension or conversion
Job Summary: The IS Operations Technician provides second line (Tier II) incident and problem management with escalation from clients and Tier I Technicians (Service Desk) who encounter problems that they cannot solve.
- Works in a collaborative team environment utilizing out-sourced technical support
- 5-Day work week; Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern time
- Other work hours as required for special projects and planned maintenance windows
- Significant client, company staff and 3rd Party communication by phone and email
Requirements:Experience supporting several of the following:
Cisco and Meraki switches
Cisco Meraki WAPs and other products
VPNs (point-to-point and mobile)
Firewalls (WatchGuard experience helpful)
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above
Microsoft RDP and Terminal Services
Basic knowledge of Active Directory
Monitoring infrastructure systems
PBX both small and medium such as Avaya, Samsung and Nortel
Understanding of the following protocols:
IP, UDP, OSPF, HTTPS, TLS, SSL, SSH, SFTP
