Job Description
Contract Length: 6 months with possible extension or conversion
Job Summary: This person will oversee the installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of networked information systems.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Experience supporting several of the following:
o 2 - 5 years related experience
o Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above
o Windows Server patching (WSUS & SCCM)
o VMware 6.0 and above and Hyper-V
o Hyperconverged Platforms (mainly Cisco HyperFlex)
o Microsoft RDP and Terminal Services
o Citrix
o Active Directory
o Monitoring infrastructure systems
o Understanding of the following protocols:
o IP, UDP, OSPF, HTTPS, TLS, SSL, SSH, SFTP
o Understanding of the following technology concepts
o OSI Model
o Security Defense in Depth
o Use of VLANs
o How SNMP works
o How DNS query works
o How DHCP works
o Server and Network performance tuning
o Data Circuit technology (Broadband, FiOS, DIA, etc)
o Fundamentals of low-voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6)
o Network troubleshooting and wireless network experience
Job Summary: This person will oversee the installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of networked information systems.
Responsibilities:
- Works in a collaborative team environment utilizing out-sourced technical support.
- 5 Day work week; Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern time
- Other work hours as required for special projects and planned maintenance windows
- Significant client, FMC staff and 3rd Party communication by phone and email
- Configure, ship and activate company LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches and wireless devices
- Assist to identify and resolve network outages in a timely manner
