- Provides technical support for HP –UX, AIX, and Linux servers. Monitors server performance.
- Performs backups and restores. Assists with Disaster Recovery.
- Maintains a problem tracking system. Investigates and solves problems and escalates more serious issues to senior staff. Manages hardware and support calls to vendors.
- Assists with the implementation of H/W and S/W. Assists the technical, development, and end-user communities, if needed, with problem resolution.
- Assists security, scheduling, and compliance staffs with their needs. Documents procedures and policies. Maintains inventory of equipment and media.
- Maintains knowledge of system modifications and enhancements installed on relevant platforms.
- Other activities assigned: productions support on-call responsibilities.

| Job Requirements |
- Experience in UNIX Technical design and support environment.
- Must have experience with HP-UX (11i.2) AIX (5.1-5.3), Linux (SUSE & Redhat), H/W (pSeries, xSeries, HP), operations monitoring, software and hardware upgrade, Sarbanes-Oxley and Audit compliance, security, Disaster Recovery, backup/restore S/W (Tivoli) and Windows XP experience.
- DB2 UDB, Networking, Websphere, Apache, LDAP, Disk/Storage Management (ESS, HP, EMC, other), HACMP, MQseries, Candle Omegamon and Tivoli Monitoring are all pluses to have.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills. Must have problem solving, technical, and analytical skills. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
