Candidates MUST HAVE at least six years' experience designing,
developing, implementing and maintaining BUSINESS OBJECTS BI. We
will not accept any other type of BI. In addition, they must have
a BSCS as well as expertise in data warehousing, SQL, PLSQL and
working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS and MS Access.

| Job Requirements |
Leads development and deployment of Business Objects based Business
Intelligence decision support system. Designs presentation layer
and manages Business Objects Universe for the data warehouse and
selects operational environments. Installs and supports BI software
tools. Develops data quality reporting processes. Develops standards
for BI coding and deployment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITITES
- Works closely with business to understand and document decision
support needs.
- Leads the definition of business views for data subject areas
and manages the implementation and maintenance of reporting and
analysis applications.
- Manages support of front-end BI systems deployment and maintenance.
- Manages the BI applications library, including version control
for existing applications and the appropriate distribution of
new applications.
- Performs data integrity analysis and trouble shooting between
source systems and the data warehouse. Works with business community
in understanding data issues/challenges.
- Leads development and maintenance of data integrity reporting
system to ensure accurate update of data warehouse.
- Manages execution of BI front-end tool testing as required
to support development activities.
- Participates in the defining, development and implementation
of new data warehouse and data mart database content.
- Promotes code from Development to QAT to Production as required.
- Mentors other team members in BI development technologies and
techniques.
- Provides application support to resolve production issues within
the stated SLA.
- Works with Data Warehouse customers to communicate information
and answer customer comments and inquiries regarding data or analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems Technology and continuing
courses to remain current with the technology.
- Minimum of 6 years experience with Business Objects as administrator
and BI developer.
- Expert in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing principles,
approaches, technologies, and architectures including the concepts,
designs and usage of data warehouses, data marts, and operational
data stores.
- High proficiency in programming using SQL and PLSQL.
- Working knowledge of Oracle & SQL Server RDBMS, specifically
with regard to feature/function which enhances BI delivery
Other
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Technical understanding of relational database systems
- Must be highly motivated and results driven
- Strong detail data analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Strong orientation toward excellent customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the
ability to communicate effectively with system integrators, external
solution providers and business partners
